Custom Made Door Frames

We can supply and install custom made fire door frames.

We would site measure and tailor the frame to suit the size, fixing method, frame profile and other custom configuration that may be required. Such as fixed or removable overhead transom, mullion frames, unequal pairs, access panels, four sided frames, to name a few.

Lead time on fire door frames are 10-14 working days depending on workload at the time an order is placed.

Frame Upgrading

It is common to have non rated doors in buildings that need to be converted to fire rated doors. This could be due to renovations, change of regulations or original installation of door and frames being incorrect.

Usually existing frames do not need to be removed, just upgraded to a fire door frame so that fire doors can be fitted.

With single doors requiring a 2 hour FRL, we can upgrade to a fire rated frame by fitting a metal door frame build up.

We can also upgrade double door frames by welding tailored frame sections to the existing door frame. Again, the maximum FRL is 2 hours.

Hardware

Fire Door Hardware

We supply and fit a range of Fire Rated Locks, Door Closers, Seals, Grilles, Vision Panels and all types of Door Hardware.

To comply with AS1905.1, all hinged fire doors must be self closing and self latching. To achieve this, fire doors must be fitted with the correct fire rated hardware, comprising heavy duty hinges, latching device and door closer.

Pairs of fire doors will require a sequential closing device and latching device as well as a closer on each leaf.

We can also supply and fit smoke seals if necessary depending on the buildings requirements.
